Our Mission

HOUSING FOR ALL – MOUNT PLEASANT seeks to create, encourage and support the development of attainable housing that is accessible for those who work, live, or aspire to live, in Mount Pleasant.

Our Vision

A robust mix of permanent attainable housing options throughout Mount Pleasant that includes well-built single-family homes, townhome-style dwellings and apartments.

Our History

In 2016, former Mount Pleasant Mayor Linda Page and Town Council created an Affordable Housing Taskforce charged with developing recommendations to address an ever-worsening attainable housing crisis in Mount Pleasant.

The Affordable Housing Taskforce worked for more than a year and presented its findings to Town in early 2018. Among the recommendations, all of which were approved by Town Council, was the formation of a 501(c)(3) that would help foster an atmosphere in which attainable housing options were feasible in Mount Pleasant. In November 2018, Housing for All – Mount Pleasant received non-profit status from the Internal Revenue Service and is currently working on a set of initiatives aimed at beginning to address attainable housing issues in South Carolina’s fourth-largest municipality.
